About us
Based in Zürich, Switzerland, Brand New Wines is a joint venture of wine and design lovers and sisters - Vesna Jelovac and Desanka Belancic.
The wine showroom is located inside the Brand New World Salon in Werd, dedicated to change the way people think about and engage with design. Its mission is to promote collectible design objects that will constantly grow in value – and people, projects, ideas and avant-garde wine, that will change the world’s understanding of wine & design, carefully mixed with iconic art objects, to create an exiting dialogue.
In the meantime, we do not tire in travelling ancient Venetian lands and constantly discovering rare, aged natural wines, premium olive oils and similar hard to get products in small, exclusive quantities, which stubbornly counter today’s fast, aggressive commercial production outputs.
Like Mladen Roxanich, who goes the radically opposite path and gives his wines as much time as they need to harmonise on their own. «Patience is a fantastic cellar technique», he says - “Because wines need time to find each other.”
We believe in the traditional art of winemaking. Ancient knowledge, perfected and carefully refined throughout the ages is woven into each bottle. This is pure wine, unfiltered and natural. Our selection ranges from light and refreshing whites and rosés, to the rich, long aged, macerated white and red wines. No matter what your preference, you will find a perfect bottle for any occasion.
From pale gold to glowing amber. From blushing pink to deep red and all the hues in between. Our selection is an experience for all the senses. Collectible Design and Art
Brand New World Salon is Zürich’s boutique premium, year-round window to the best of global contemporary and collectible design from Milan, London, Paris, Brussels, New York, Rio, Berlin, Madrid, and of course, Switzerland.
Due to size and unique physical characteristics, the Salon in Zürich’s leafy Quarter of Seefeld shall showcase one strong design statement at a time as exhibition, carefully mixed with iconic art objects, to create an exiting dialogue between art and design.
At the heart of the design of our pieces, there is always an innovation process inherent to the small industries with which the designers collaborate, resulting in a mutual benefit and creating different forms of working with materials, creating new logics and representations.
